Big Table History

There was a moment, in 1957, when the young Paul Carroll and Irving Rosenthal decided publishing new writing was more important than anything.  This work included the unpublished Naked Lunch by Wm. S. Burroughs.  They stood up to the University of Chicago Chancelor, who wanted to prevent "Filthy Writing on the Midway" and quit the magazine, the Chicago Review.  Big Table 1 was launched in four months and now its distribution was thwarted by the US Post Office.  Paul Carroll endured two trials and won.  It was not just a new magazine, it was news from London to San Francisco.

Meet the Team

Write something about the people who make your business go or your philosophy behind customer service.
Why? Because people want to know who they're doing business with. It's a human thing.
